03 / ONCOLYTIC VIRUSES
A biological approach.
A research perspective.
Research into Newcastle Disease Virus for oncolytic applications.
01 / RESEARCH FOCUS
Understanding
virus–cell interactions.
Oncolytic virus research explores how viruses can infect and replicate within tumour cells. TSH is working on improving Newcastle Disease Virus for oncolytic applications.
Our microscopy offers a view into virus–cell interactions in glioblastoma cell culture.
02 / CELL-CULTURE MICROSCOPY
A closer look
at the research.
Glioblastoma cell-culture images supplied by TSH. The accompanying description identifies cell destruction by Newcastle Disease Virus.
The two views are not labelled as a before-and-after comparison or a time series. Research images do not establish clinical efficacy.
03 / SCIENTIFIC CONTEXT
Research with
a wider context.
Oncolytic viruses are an established area of therapeutic research. One example is talimogene laherparepvec (T-VEC), a modified herpes simplex virus used in the medicine Imlygic for certain patients with melanoma.
This is scientific background and does not describe a TSH product. TSH’s own research focus here is Newcastle Disease Virus.
